Lots has been said about this famous travel destination – all true! Croatia does not disappoint, except for… too many tourists!

Betina, Sibensko-Kninska, Croatia
For several days now we have been wandering the parks of Croatia and the Adriatic coast, very beautiful! But … hot here, really really hot … for several days the temperatures have been between 34 and 37 degrees and there is no ‘air-conditioned culture’ here, so most of the time and everywhere just hot … the interesting thing is that it does not seem to really bother the locals, the stalls in the sun selling goods from the local produce, the non-air-conditioned restaurants are full of people, and lots of people in the parks …
Bibinje, Zadar
Smoking … a lot … both in Romania and in Croatia. It turns out that it really sets the local population apart from the tourists. They smoke everywhere, and since it is very hot, all the restaurant guests sit outside and by default they serve you an ashtray. It is not uncommon to see here a woman with a cigarette in one hand and a baby in another. Without judgment, really, we just got used to a different culture, and we try to see the amazing views through the smoke 😊.
Bale
For wine lovers … The prices in the area of Romania, Hungary, Croatia, are a surprise – between 10 and 12 NIS per glass of wine in a restaurant. In this area they are mostly specializing in white and rosé wines, I was less impressed by the reds, but you can drink plenty !!
Everyone has their own scale for comparing the prices in different countires, for me it’s wine and coffee. So coffee is also cheap, about 6 NIS per cup of cappuccino that does not embarrass neighboring Italy.
Today we are in Bale – a quiet, romantic and charming medieval city …
Velika Pisanica
We are in the northern part of Croatia … the Tuscany of Croatia. Hiking among the small villages in landscapes of hills and vines … and despite the beauty of the Adriatic coast we prefer this quiet and delicate loveliness …
Osijek
Just today we heard a podcast where they mentioned that in China the number of weddings has dropped by half in a year … so here in Croatia people are definitely continuing to get married .. today we witnessed a line of brides and grooms in the local cathedral! As usual I went for a peek, and the truth is that the ceremony is like in the movies, just less dramatic and exciting 😊, with all the necessary ensembles – the bride’s walk by the father, the groomsmen, the oath speeches, the dramatic exit from the church and of course lots of photos 😊.
